James House started working with tile in Peterborough in 1983 while attending college for architectural and art history and business admin. He learned his trade skills from an old school Italian tile setter by the name of Luigi Terrini. James opened his first company, Bathtubs From Heaven in 1987 in Ottawa.

Since those humble beginnings, he has worked with hundreds of contractors, tradespeople, designers, architects, engineers and inspectors. With more than 3100 completed projects, there is nothing in home building and renovations that he doesn’t know or understand.

The company name has changed but it’s the same man using the same principals, care and attention to details ensuring every job is completed to the gold standard.

As James was taught by Luigi in the beginning, you start with a solid, square foundation and the tile becomes a beautiful, functional form of art.
